“We are images of the Creator clothed in the Created. I honor the spark in you that is the spark in me. Let us walk together for a time."
Timothy began meditating and studying aspects of the subtle body in Louisville, Kentucky in the 1990s.
He later joined the U.S. Army as a means of serving something greater than himself. During his nearly 7 years of service, he deployed three times to include combat operations in Iraq as a mortar squad leader and dismount team leader where he earned commendations and the Combat Infantry Badge.
Following service, Timothy served as an accredited advocate with DAV and the Wounded Warrior Project fulfilling roles as a director, trainer, and mentor, as well as providing a voice for those wounded, ill, and injured who had not the patience or understanding to navigate bureaucracy of the Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration.
It was during these years he began to see the benefit of holistic approaches to traumatized populations. He became an avid supporter of the 360-degree approach to mind, body, and engagement.
However, military service left Timothy with physical and invisible wounds of war. Chronic pain, the loss of friends both inside and outside of military service, and neurocognitive issues left indelible marks on his lived experience as well as his ability to function.
During an intense 4 year period, Mr. Grossman began to move back into the healing arts as a means of dealing with PTSD, residuals of concussive blasts, and chronic pain. What he found was the opportunity for transformation from within.
This process helps one experience the unfolding of the true self. Through contronting the wounded parts of oneself one can discover a freedom that cannot be reduced to words. He learned to love and forgive himself and others again. He learned to enter a state of peace that transcends the outer world yet enters it through our very way of being. The way we interact, the way we show up, the way we respond instead of reacting. He learned to distance himself from physical pain, but also to listen to the body.
Eventually, Tim chose to become a teacher, facilitator, and mentor of the methods that helped in his healing process. He now designs programming that introduces others to embark on their own unfolding of their true self. In this way, Mr. Grossman continues to serve.
Tim has studied meditation from established and accredited organizations both in the U.S. and abroad. He has studied both the Eastern and Western traditions of Reiki from world-class mentors William Rand and Frans Steine with lineages leading back to Mikao Usui Sensei. His mindfulness and meditation studies encompass teachers both in the U.S. and India with over 300 hours of training.
More importantly, he practices all of the methods he offers daily as both a passion and a discipline. Like all of us, he strives through triumphs and failures alike, for greater and greater congruence between his present states and ideal self - more understanding, compassionate, and world centered.
Tim's notable areas of interest are in the human experience, transpersonal psychology, psychospirituality, and how these areas relate to individual and social transcendance.
Tim's continuing endeavors encompass graduate studies in Transpersonal Psychology with an emphasis on conciousness theory; focusing on higher states of human consciousness, dream incubation, the science of spirituality, spiritual crises, and integrated imagery.
"In this mindful way, we meet life with simultaneous stillness and action. A stillness that evokes calm and purposeful action."
